consultant, guiding you through the writing process, helping you troubleshoot your identified areas of concern, and giving you feedback on ways to improve your writing as well as editing feedback. Sometimes we want to know not only what isn’t working, but why it doesn’t work and how to fix the problem in the
future. This level of editing requires deeper analysis and insight.
Coaching
Your Writing Coach acts as any coach would: giving you strategizing tips, helping you set milestones and goals, completing tasks in a timely manner, and serving as a sounding board for your ideas. Meet with Dr. Smith once or twice a month for half an hour to discuss how your writing
is going, what are concerns or problem areas, and strategize for next steps.
Additionally, your Dr. Smith will review and edit your writing during any stage of the writing process, and provide you with writing instructor level feedback and insights.
